AICE Media Studies

For my final task, I am happy to be working with Kayla, Hervis, and Zahra. We have not had the opportunity to discuss the specifics of our projects, but I know that we will soon. Kayla is intelligent and Hervis is responsible. I do not know Zahra, but Kayla does and I trust her judgement. It is for these reasons that I am excited to be working with them. Hervis, Kayla and I have worked together on a project before. It was the music video, which ended up as a success. During that project, they showed themselves to be hard-working and honest with their work. They were efficient with the way they fulfilled each of the requirements and with their speed of getting the recordings in. It was a pleasant experience to work with them and I am expecting the same in this project. I am also excited to meet someone new and hope she has the same work ethic as the other two members.  In regards to how we will work together, I know that will be discussed. Hello, I am Ariel. I am a 10th grader(sophomore) and my ultimate goal is to receive my Cambridge diploma for the chance of earning a scholarship. I took AICE Media Studies because I needed a Cambridge credit and Media Studies intrigued me. Film is not something I would have considered in the past, but now my eyes have been opened. I was aware that there were many aspects to making films, but learning all of the details is so fascinating. Even just learning the basic film terms has caught my attention and I'm very excited for my final task. I have been assigned a 2 minute opening scene of a 90 minute film. It is my first project that involves writing and more complex editing, like animating text on a screen. I am particularly excited to do genre research. I do have a history with Cambridge courses and even if I was just online, the tests were still in person.
