Other Information for the Final Task

 Location:  

The first scene will be filmed at the chosen actor’s homes. The second at a public park, and the third at a convinience store. The last will be filmed at a public indoor place, something like a library or mall.

Health:  

In order to keep our members healthy we will ensure that all weapons used are fake, that we avoid any cars while filming in public places, that any materials used for practical affects will be non-toxic, and that parents will be informed of our whereabouts.

Backup Plan:  

In case a member of the group cannot film, we can reschedule to a different day or we can have someone step in as a last resort. The places we want to film at are public so it is unlikely that we will have complications there, but weather can still be an issue. If the weather does not cooperate on the days we want to film outdoors, we will film any inside shots and wait, for get other work done, such as editing the necessary titles in or piecing sequences together.

Production Blog-Editing and Getting Files Together

Today I finally got the chance to sit down and edit the clips that I have received together. I'm relying on my groupmates to film at the moment, so I'm just playing a bit of a waiting game. However, I have received some of the files I needed. This allowed me to save some time by putting the files into my editing program. However, there was something I missed regarding our song choice. I forgot to find the radio version, so I decided to email myself the file. I would have downloaded the clean version directly onto my computer, but I was having file issues. After emailing myself the files I needed to download all of the videos sent to me. Then I placed them in the media of the editing platform and then onto the video track. This gave me an opportunity to see if we were within our given time frame. When I put the clips together I realized that we were over about 10 seconds or so. An Introduction: A New Year, A New Group

This year my group is very different. See, last year I worked with Kayla and Hervis, but they decided to not take A-Level Media, which is okay. I've decided to work with Naliah (last initial) this year. I met her last year while tutoring for Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus and she was in the library needing help for Calculus. I think the fact that she was even in the library requesting help is a testament to her dedication to school. She seemed really sweet and had a lot of cool interests. Math clearly wasn't her favorite subject, but she loved anime and is now a promoter of the school's diversity club. I'm really glad I got to know her, and I hope we work well together this year. She was also in my AS-Level class, but we never really got to know each other until later into last year and this year. Production Blog: Only 2 Props, But a Thousand Emails

 Today another member of my group and I discussed props. She wanted to use fake blood, so we went through Amazon to try to find something practical. We ended up selecting a 16 fl oz bottle that costed a little under 10 dollars. In my opinion, it's still a bit too much, but maybe we'll end up using more than we thought. It did look realistic in the photo, but I'm hoping it looks that way in real life. We also talked about a fake gun. I remember seeing some fairly cheap ones on Amazon, but she mentioned having a BB gun that looked real enough. That was definitely fortunate, since I'm hoping money won't be added onto the issues during the project. While money and props are out of way, I needed to start emailing artists for music permission.
