Introductions: My Group and the Commercial Project

For my first project, I am happy to be working with Kayla F. We have not had the opportunity to discuss the specifics of our projects, but I know that we will soon. She is intelligent, hard-working, honest, and determined in regards to her academics. It is for these reasons that I am excited to be working with her. Also, we have worked together on a project before. It was a PowerPoint on the basic filming terms, with the definitions and examples. During that project, she showed herself to be efficient and honest with how she will work. She was efficient with the way she fulfilled each of the requirements and with her speed of finishing the assignment. It was a pleasant experience to work with her and I am expecting the same in this project.

In regards to how we will work together, I know that will be discussed. However, I am prepared to take up whatever task needs to be done. I know that one of my biggest pet peeves is people who don't lift their weight in group projects and I refuse to become one of them. Brainstorming has been less than convenient without a partner, but I have been thinking. I know that depending on what we do, some sort of establishing or wide shot will be necessary and a close(or extreme close up) might be needed at the end, in order to bring focus to the product. I am also thinking of what non-diegetic sound will be used, specifically voiceovers. They are a common convention  in many advertisements and can be used to give the commercial an emotional quality.

Going back to my partner, Kayla, we became friends this year. We met in my first period class and she has a very outgoing personality. She seems like a great friend and a great worker, too. While working on this, we can communicate in and outside of class and I know she will answer to the best of her abilities. Overall, I am excited to be working with her and on this project.
