Boo! "Chico's Revenge" Storyboard!

 Here is our storyboard for Chico's Revenge, made using a digital drawing app! Glad we didn't waste paper! 

Page 1- This page is the first 6 shots of the conversation that the boys have before they enter the woods. Here we see friendships and characters established. 

Page 2- These shots lead up to the boys arriving at the woods, with Evan's character as the "responsible" one being made known. 

Page 3- A sudden cut to the woods in the afternoon is shown, brining a sense of humor to the situation, as Evan clearly did not want to go. Their relationship with the woods is established here. 

Page 4- The first "scary" event happens here, with Noah having his ankle snapped at by a goose. Humor is brought in through Noah's reaction and Sam's claim of spiritual warnings. 

Page 5- This page is where things start to pick up. Noah's dead body is found and the boys start to realize that going to the woods was maybe a bad idea. 

Page 6- More humor is portrayed here (through Sam again), by him not thinking ahead, as he claims to be. 

Page 7-A bit more humor is delivered here, with Sam finally realizing his mistakes. 

Page 8- Another scary moment happens here along with a bit of humor, when Sam is snatched away from something we cannot see off screen. The main antagonist is finally shown here as well. 

Page 9- Evan and the chihuahua have a brief stand off before Evan takes off running. 

Page 10- Humor is utilized through Evan's comment about Sam as Evan gets chased down by the chihuahua. 

Page 11- Evan finally makes his escape and a final shot of the chihuahua wagging is shown.

Production Blog-Editing and Getting Files Together

Today I finally got the chance to sit down and edit the clips that I have received together. I'm relying on my groupmates to film at the moment, so I'm just playing a bit of a waiting game. However, I have received some of the files I needed. This allowed me to save some time by putting the files into my editing program. However, there was something I missed regarding our song choice. I forgot to find the radio version, so I decided to email myself the file. I would have downloaded the clean version directly onto my computer, but I was having file issues. After emailing myself the files I needed to download all of the videos sent to me. Then I placed them in the media of the editing platform and then onto the video track. This gave me an opportunity to see if we were within our given time frame. When I put the clips together I realized that we were over about 10 seconds or so. An Introduction: A New Year, A New Group

This year my group is very different. See, last year I worked with Kayla and Hervis, but they decided to not take A-Level Media, which is okay. I've decided to work with Naliah (last initial) this year. I met her last year while tutoring for Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus and she was in the library needing help for Calculus. I think the fact that she was even in the library requesting help is a testament to her dedication to school. She seemed really sweet and had a lot of cool interests. Math clearly wasn't her favorite subject, but she loved anime and is now a promoter of the school's diversity club. I'm really glad I got to know her, and I hope we work well together this year. She was also in my AS-Level class, but we never really got to know each other until later into last year and this year. She appears to be a hard-worker and very excited for this class, so I'm happy to be working with her.  Last year, I believe she worked on her project alone, as I often saw her...

Production Blog: Only 2 Props, But a Thousand Emails

 Today another member of my group and I discussed props. She wanted to use fake blood, so we went through Amazon to try to find something practical. We ended up selecting a 16 fl oz bottle that costed a little under 10 dollars. In my opinion, it's still a bit too much, but maybe we'll end up using more than we thought. It did look realistic in the photo, but I'm hoping it looks that way in real life. We also talked about a fake gun. I remember seeing some fairly cheap ones on Amazon, but she mentioned having a BB gun that looked real enough. That was definitely fortunate, since I'm hoping money won't be added onto the issues during the project. While money and props are out of way, I needed to start emailing artists for music permission.
