Storyboard Blog: Commercial Project

Slide 1: During this scene, a wide shot is of the actor walking towards a desk with paper on it will be shown. This is to establish a general idea of the environment, what the actor is about to do, and overall sets the tone for the video.

Slide 2: A medium shot of  the actor sitting down at the desk and physically preparing for herself for the writing task. Physically preparing includes movements like stretching her shoulders, twisting her neck, and cracking/flexing her fingers; anything physical that will free up her mind.

Slide 3: The shot will be a split screen, the cut will be diagonal. One shot will be of the actor's confused expression and the other will be the pen not working properly or writing smoothly. This pen's performance will contrast the performance of the InkJoy PaperMate pen.

Slide 4: This shot will be a medium close up of the actor's angry facial expression as she stares at the pen in frustration. This pen simply isn't working. Slide 5: The camera zooms out and pans to a wide shot another actor walking towards the first. The camera follows her back to the first actor as she gets closer.

Slide 6: This shot will be a close-up shot of the actor's hand as she hands the first actor an InkJoy Pen.

Slide 7: This be will an over-the-shoulder shot where the focus will be the pen's amazing writing. This contrasts slide 3, where the pen was not working properly.

Slide 8: This will be a medium close up of the actor's now pleased expression, as she nods and holds the pen with pride.

Slide 9: The previous shot will become blurry as the Papermate InkJoy logo fades in. The commercial ends. This commercial at times in certain shots will use a voice over of the actor expressing her inner thoughts as the commercial goes along.
